This video by The University of California San Francisco (UCSF), an Atlantic grantee, looks at Atlantic Founding Chairman Chuck Feeney’s contributions to advance health at UCSF and worldwide.

Feeney is credited as being a key visionary behind the creation of the UCSF Mission Bay campus, a magnet for the growing biotechnology industry in San Francisco. Atlantic’s gift to build the UCSF Cardiovascular Research Institute was among the largest commitment from a foundation in UCSF’s history. Atlantic has contributed $270 million so far to the making of Mission Bay.

On 5 April 2012, Chuck Feeney was awarded a UCSF Medal, the University’s highest honour in recognition of outstanding personal contributions in areas associated with the University’s mission.

The University of California San Francisco is an Atlantic grantee.
