The America’s Promise Alliance has released a toolkit designed to help communities prepare their high school students for college, work, and life. Funded by the Bank of America, Bill & Melinda Gates, and State Farm Companies foundations, Grad Nation (100 pages, PDF) includes evidence-based practices designed to keep young people in school, information on how to implement effective school transformation strategies, and several printable tools, including handouts to build community support and tables to organize and analyze local data. The toolkit was released as part of the alliance’s dropout-prevention campaign, which is sponsoring summits on the issue around the country through 2010.
