To support the development of Project Independence, a three-year demonstration program of rehabilitation to prevent geriatric disorders which lead to disability, loss of independence, and institutionalization. The goal is to develop a geriatric rehabilitation center at Gaylord Hospital as well as outreach programs to serve persons over the age of 65 in nearby communities.
