NBC Nightly News reporter Chelsea Clinton recently highlighted a local community school’s Homework Diner program in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Manzano Mesa Elementary School started the Homework Diner program in 2012, aiming to increase homework completion and improve the culture of the school community. With approximately 67% of students eligible for free and reduced lunch and 2 out of 3 students living in hunger, the program also set out to address the significant nutritional barriers to learning.

In the video above, Chelsea Clinton interviews Principal Peggy Candelaria and Community School Coordinator Deanna Creighton Cook.
