In this subscription only opinion piece from The Chronicle of Philanthropy, author Pablo Eisenberg argues that the Council on Foundations should use its agenda to focus on key public policy issues instead of the shortsighted interests of the non-profit world. He suggests organizations such as Atlantic could use their assets to establish large foundations to serve financially strained rural American communities, what Eisenberg calls the Rural Philanthropy Growth Act.
