Programmes
Atlantic concentrates its grantmaking in seven countries and focuses on four critical social issues: Ageing, Children & Youth, Population Health and Reconciliation & Human Rights. Atlantic also makes Founding Chairman grants.
Through these programmes, the foundation seeks to increase opportunities from the youngest to the oldest among us, with a particular focus on communities facing discrimination, poverty and other barriers to social equity, and to protect human rights for all people, including access to comprehensive health care.
The foundation supports and collaborates with grantee organisations, peer funders, governments and government agencies, and seeks cross-programme, cross-geographical and urgent short-term opportunities to advance social justice, including advocacy campaigns for important public policy changes. As well, the Founding Chairman grants help to better the lives of people in many countries, often focusing on building projects for higher education, medical research and clinical medical care.
