GLEN: Evaluation of the Building Sustainable Change Programme

The Gay and Lesbian Equality Network (GLEN) in Ireland achieved significant progress under an ambitious five-year programme to achieve equality for lesbian, gay and bisexual people, according to an evaluation by the PA Consulting Group. Through the programme, which was funded by Atlantic, GLEN played a crucial role in securing civil partnership legislation for same-sex couples. GLEN also made progress in other areas including education where it developed information and practical suggestions on how school leaders can support young people who are lesbian, gay or bisexual.

The evaluation includes lessons from GLEN’s approach that could be helpful to other nongovernmental organisations.
