US NGO cares maternal and infant health in Vietnam

Central Thua Thien – Hue province received a US-based Atlantic Philanthropies-funded project to improve maternal and infant health on March 17. The 425,000 USD project will be implemented at provincial hospitals and in A Luoi and Phong Dien districts from now till the end of the year. The project’s objectives are to minimise fatalities of mothers and newborn babies and improve their health as well as home-based services for them. It will also help improve health care services for mothers and their newborn babies.
