Goal

To support a program of faculty mini-grants which will provide a discipline-based mechanism whereby faculty and students of Miami-Dade Community College can respond to the goals of Overtown Neighborhood Partnerships, an effort to improve the economically disadvantaged residents of the neighborhood known as Overtown. This project will enable faculty and students to explore discipline-based teaching and learning opportunities within the project, addressing at least one of the Overtown neighborhood priorities (crime, employment, education, and quality of life).
