Goal

To establish a program of cooperation between Cornell and 3 neighboring school districts. The primary goal was to establish a mechanism for interaction between the University and local public schools with the goal of improving educational opportunity in the sciences and mathematics as well as in the humanities and foreign languages. This mechanism was to broaden the educational horizons of the students and provide additional resources for the teachers without further burdening the districts’ budgets.
