Lily Papakhian is the Grants Manager for The Atlantic Philanthropies. She is based in the New York office.
In her role, Ms. Papakhian ensures that grants comply with foundation policy, conducts extensive analysis and reporting of grant data, and trains local and international staff on the foundation’s grant database. She also manages Atlantic’s Director/Employee Designated Gift Fund. In addition, Ms. Papakhian helped set up the grants database and train staff for the Civic Participation Action Fund, an Atlantic grantee in Washington, D.C. She joined the foundation in 2014 as a Grants Management Associate.
Prior to Atlantic, Ms. Papakhian worked at New York University’s Office of the Dean for Science as a Grants Administrator and at Columbia University as a Project Analyst and Subgrant Specialist.
She currently serves as a volunteer outreach ambassador for the Armenian Relief Society – Eastern Region USA, where she helps organize events for youth programs and raises funds for the Armenian Syrian Relief Fund.
A proud native of Detroit, Ms. Papakhian earned a B.A. in history and classical civilization from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in public administration from New York University.
